Past exploration by Sayona has identified graphite mineralisation within a 25-kilometre strike extent of the Corkwood geochemical and geophysical anomaly.

The target is structurally deformed, higher grade graphite portions of the stratigraphy with the potential to host coarse flake, high purity graphite mineralisation.

Sayona’s exploration has included VTEM airborne electromagnetic surveying with follow-up drilling. This returned mineralisation including 19m @ 4.52% TGC (total graphitic carbon) at the Windrush prospect and lower grade but wide intercepts from surface such as 109m @ 1.84% TGC at the Flying Ant prospect.

Sayona is planning further drill testing of the mineralisation to obtain samples for metallurgical and beneficiation testwork.
